Our Solution: Full WiFi Mesh Installation & Structured Cabling
Starting with a blank slate, we had the opportunity to design a streamlined, future-ready IT network. Our project encompassed both wireless infrastructure and a complete network cabinet refurbishment. Here’s what we delivered:
✅ Cat6 Cabling Through Ceiling Voids
The exposed ceiling provided perfect access to neatly route high-quality Cat6 cabling around ducting and utilities. This approach minimised visual clutter while prioritising long-term accessibility and serviceability.
✅ Strategic Placement of Access Points (APs)
We strategically installed access points to eliminate dead spots and enable seamless roaming throughout the clinic. Each AP was hardwired to the central switch using Power over Ethernet (PoE), ensuring excellent performance without additional power sockets.
✅ Power over Ethernet (PoE) Configuration
PoE enabled us to power all access points efficiently, removing the need for additional electrical installations. This solution is particularly well-suited to healthcare environments where simplicity and safety are essential.
✅ Network Cabinet Overhaul
The existing network cabinet was disorganised and lacked documentation. We rebuilt it with:
- A new patch panel for proper cable termination
- Switches optimised for PoE functionality
- Clearly labelled connections for easy management
- Comprehensive connectivity testing and full documentation
The result? A central network hub designed for reliability and scalability, ready to support Microsoft 365, VOIP, cloud platforms, and internal systems.
